Patients or employers acting on their behalf pay a monthly subscription fee to access our robust provider marketplace. When you enroll in our Catastrophic + DPC + Med Access plan, you will benefit from zero co-pays for visits to direct primary care (DPC) providers. However, patients will be responsible for the cost of low-priced lab work through their DPC provider.
Upon meeting the annual Patient Responsibility threshold of $10,000, patients will only be required to pay 20% of their subsequent emergency medical expenses. Additionally, an administrative fee will be applied after each visit or procedure to cover the processing and software costs associated with HealthCoin Exchange.
Does HealthCoin Exchange cover emergency medical services?
Yes, we do! Both our Catastrophic Plan and our Catastrophic + DPC + Med Access Membership provide access to emergency medical services, cancer treatments, and long hospital stays.
After receiving medical care, please request your healthcare provider’s Explanation of Benefits (EOB). This document provides a comprehensive breakdown of all the services you received.
Submit the EOB within the emergency section of your HealthCoin Exchange account, and our team will work with the hospital to pay a portion of the bill on your behalf, covering up to 80% in most cases!

Will HealthCoin always pay 80% of a patient’s bill?
HealthCoin covers 80% of the patient’s bill in most cases, except for instances where the patient is suspended due to non-payment or misuse of our gifting system.
In cases where we cannot cover a bill, HealthCoin will liaise with the provider or hospital to establish a settlement plan. Our commitment remains steadfast—we’re dedicated to ensuring patients are never burdened with heavy financial obligations.
